The Victoria A Michelis Fund:
a living, ongoing legacy - "Big Hug!"
Born in San Francisco in 1963, Vicky was a life-long California resident. She proudly identified as the granddaughter of Italian immigrants who came to San Francisco early in the 1900's with pennies to their name (pic: Vicky & her beloved Nonno, Firmino Michelis). Vicky's career took many turns, culminating in 15 years at Apple, Inc. She was a woman of action known for tenacious and loving dedication to her people and her causes, strongly-held opinions, a soft spot for the underdog, and her Big Hugs.
Vicky died in 2020 after seven hard but vibrant years living with a rare variant of ovarian cancer. Her financial legacy is this fund which is dedicated to providing ongoing support for smaller US-based non-profits with a heart for helping in ways that would have been meaningful to Vicky.
Victoria A Michelis Fund (VAMF)'s purpose is to accelerate the missions of mainly smaller US-based non-profit entities by providing ongoing funding.
VAMF supports a variety of 501(c)(3) entities focused on underserved children, cancer patients, unhoused, hungry & vulnerable people, and animal welfare.
Mainly through ongoing quarterly gifts, VAMF has contributed significantly to the missions of more than 30 entities throughout the United States since its inception in 2021.
At Vicky's request, VAMF giving recommendations
are managed by her long-time friend, Robert Malone.
